HTC One M8 v LG G3 - Comments from owners pleasey weasey

Okay folks, my 2 years of Galaxy Note 2 is up and i've enjoyed it but in true Spandex style I fancy something i've not had before.

So, straight shoot off for these two. I'm leaning towards the HTC based purely on it's looks but still not sure

iPhone sheeps, fuck off, I had 2 and loved them but switched to Android 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Fancy something different from the Samsungs now.

I want the most expensive one, but everybody has to know it is really expensive, so it must have a big flashing logo on it that can be seen for miles and it must emit a message to say how very expensive it is and that only really rich and very classy people like me can afford them

I moved from the iPhone to LG G3 last month. I absolutely love the phone but have had some quality issues with it. One had a yellow tint to the screen and the current one has a random shutdown issue. A new one is coming on Monday from O2 so hopefully everything will be fine thereafter.

I read a lot of reviews and had a fiddle with the HTC and Samsung in the O2 shop before deciding on the G3. It ticked more of the boxes than the others. Joe C and I have discussed the cameras of our respective phones in person (yes, we know how to party) and I think we agree to disagree. I thought the M8 camera was awful up against the other two when I tested them back to back to back.

Most importantly though - for a 41 year old man - FIFA 14 looks stunning on my G3.

I picked up a HTC M8 today. Finally upgraded my iphone 4 that i've had since they were released. Haven't used an android phone in years. They've certainly improved. And so far this new phone beats my old one in every way!

They were probably more against using Android than IOS, some people just prefer the stability

Spoke to a couple if people about the HTC, in the back of reading this thread. Both said they're shit and they wish they'd never changed over from iPhone (I know I know don't shoot the messenger Ffs)

I've yet to use the M8, but have been using HTC phones for over 4 years and can highly recommend them.

Thanks chaps.

I am leaning towards the HTC because it's just soooo pretty!! Plus to be honest I haven't heard a bad thing about it. However most professional reviewers seem to prefer the G3?

I know the Note 4 is coming out soon, i've really enjoyed the Note 2 but I like to try something different each time.

I honestly can't believe people still buy iPhones? I can't think of ONE reason to get one unless I was a total twat or gay.

Ive broken my note 2 and can't get a new contract and cheap phone for another 4 months.

Cunts are holding out and won't sell me a used one for under 200 dollars.

The HTC is a very nice bit of kit. Best looking, sturdy, the only shit bit is, ironically, the call list.

I have the HTC - best phone I've ever had. Get two days battery out of it doing everything I need to do, screen is excellent quality, the recent software update has sorted the low light issue out with the camera and I can't recommend it enough.

I have the G3, outstanding screen and camera, although a little slow to respond sometimes.

A decent phone, but there's probably better out there

Not on your list but similar to both, consider the Google Nexus 5 and buy direct from Google, costs about half what the other 2 do.

Has the same processor as the G3 and is made by LG, 5 inch screen, and good camera and very fast on the internet plus comes with the latest Android operating system and will automatically update each time a new version comes out.

Best Value phone by a mile.

I have the L3. It has some quality control issues and I couldn't recommend it. Plenty to like, but there are some annoyances, like getting hot when not in use and running down the battery quickly. I wish I had waited for the Note 4.
Another to consider is the Oneplus One.

Don't know what the LG is like, but the M8 is best phone I've ever had. My daughters with their iPhones keep asking when their contract is up so that they can get one.
